TFFB Festivalband (DE)
Die TFFB Festivalband entstand nach einer Idee von Jan Budweis, der jedes Jahr professionelle und Amateurmusiker aus der Berliner Region in unterschiedlicher
Besetzung zum Musizieren einlädt. Diese Einmal-Bands sind immer ein großer Spaß für Beteiligte und Tänzer wie im Video zu sehen ist.
Wir sind gespannt, mit welchem Programm die Festivalband diesmal das TFFB eröffnet.

The TFFB Festival Band was born from an idea of Jan Budweis, who invites professional and amateur musicians from the Berlin region to play music in different
lineups every year. These one-time bands are always great fun for participants and dancers as can be seen in the video.
We are curious about the program the Festival Band will open the TFFB this year.

entspricht.

L'air inconnu sind drei Komplizen, die ihre Fähigkeiten mit hörbarer Freude in den Dienst des BalFolk gestellt haben. Thomas Strauch

Fior (DE)
Mit Fior (althochdeutsch, “Vier”) betritt ein neues Quartett aus Süddeutschland die Bühne, welches sich dem modernen Folk verschrieben hat. Fior macht Musik für den Tanzboden und Konzertsäle,
bringt die Leute zum Tanzen und Träumen. Ihr Debüt-Album “Manuskript” erschien im Mai 2022 und bringt diese Musik nun auch zu den Fans nach Hause.

Rémi Geffroy wurde von klein auf mit Folk, Jazz und Rock genährt. Im Alter von 10 Jahren trat er mit dem diatonischen Akkordeon in das Konservatorium ein und
lernte vier Jahre später den E-Bass. Mit diesem Instrument tauchte er in die aktuelle Musik ein und bereicherte sie um das, was später zu seinen Einflüssen gehörte. Er entwickelte seine Klänge, indem er sich mit dem Klavier und der Gitarre vertraut machte.
Sein besonderer Stil und seine Originalkompositionen führen ihn seit einigen Jahren durch ganz Frankreich und Europa.

Rémi Geffroy is nourished from his youngest age by folk, jazz and rock. At the age of 10, he entered the conservatory with the
diatonic accordion, and learned 4 years later the electric bass. It is with this instrument that he will plunge in the current musics and will enrich what will be part of the whole of his
influences. He then developed his sounds by learning the piano and the guitar.
His particular style and his original compositions bring him since a few years a little everywhere in France and in Europe.

Moore & Moss gelten als zwei der besten Musiker einer neuen englischen Generation und als Innovatoren des traditionellen Folk. Die fein ausgearbeiteten Arrangements von Tom Moore und Archie
Moss besitzen eine seltene Kraft, eine angenehme Unaufgeregtheit und eine subtile Komplexität der Klangpalette. Auf dem zweiten Album des Duos (2020) vereint sich die tiefe Harmonie des
Akkordeons mit der Textur und dem Fluss von Moores Bratsche und wird zu dröhnenden, schwirrenden, funkelnden Schichten elektroakustischer Körnung.

Voller Freude am gemeinsam Grooven, Schwingen und Klingen machen wir schon immer zusammen Musik. Geboren in der heimischen Küche neben dem blubbernden Suppentopf auf dem Herd hat es unsere Familienband in die große weite Welt hinausgezogen, wo wir unsere Melodien am liebsten an tanzlustige Füße und offene Ohren verschenken.
Die Musik von Lottes Flausen lässt sich gern inspirieren von unseren liebsten musikalischen Zuhausen. Balfolk, traditionelle schwedische Musik, Klezmer, Musik vom Balkan und klassische Hintergründe geben sich die Klinke in die Hand, liebäugeln miteinander und verweben sich zu einem klangvoll beschwingten Tanzvergnügen.

Full of joy of grooving, swinging and sounding together we have been making always made music together. Born in the kitchen at home next to the bubbling pot of soup on the stove, our family band has gone out into the big world, where we love to play our melodies to dancing feet and open
to dancing feet and open ears. The music of Lottes Flausen is inspired by our favorite musical homes. Balfolk, traditional Swedish music, klezmer, Balkan music and classical backgrounds are all in the mix, flirting with each other and interweave to a sonorous and lively dance pleasure.

Stefano Baldan spielt ein abwechslungsreiches Balfolk Repertoire, gespeist aus zeitlosen, traditionellen Stücken, Covern und Eigenkompositionen. Er liebt es zu experimentieren, das Alte mit dem Neuen zu verbinden, auf der Suche nach einer feinen Balance zwischen Tradition und Innovation. Mit Irischer Mandoline, Gesang, Stomp Box, und elektroakustischen Effekten kreiert er einen ansprechenden und energetischen Mix, der garantiert die Füße in Bewegung bringt.
Seine zwei Alben "L'alba" (2015) und "Ancora" (2021) kann man als Vorgeschmack auf Spotify hören.
